Coyote

Coyotes have survived all human attempts at extermination - you've got to admire that! Many times I have crossed paths with one on my outdoor ramblings, and it always seems haughtily unconcerned with me as it goes about its business. In Colorado I can often hear a coyote tribe howling into the dark night on the fringes of human habitation, leaving me with a goose-bumpy shiver and a reminder that not all of nature has been tamed.
